Sometimes, what you are looking for comes when you are not looking at all. Oftentimes, I imagined myself telling the story of how we came to be, and I always wondered how much I would share. In my opinion, our story is a unique one, it wasn't love at first sight because how could it be? My husband sent me a message on social media a couple of months and I ignored him. He then sent another message a couple months later and I responded but when he asked for my number I said I don't give my number out. A couple days later I got a message from my brother-in-law, saying my husband was his friend and he is a lovely person. In couple of weeks we started chatting, nothing serious at first. Just light conversations, jokes, and random check-ins. And then few months down the line this gentleman said he wanted something more serious and I was like hmmm.

I was very uptight at first but little by little he started making me loosen up, he was amazing, he was always kind and very intentional about me. What started off as simple chats turned into something real. One day he was just saying Hi, and the next, we were planning how to meet up. From there, everything just grew steadily and honestly. Now we are here planning a wedding and doing life together, and thinking back, it all started with one random text.
